Character of the day:

This program combines two modern sports – RAFTING and ARCHERY – together with Renaissance Chateau Nelahozeves and Antonín Dvořák's hometown visit.

The trip starts in Kralupy nad Vltavou (about 20 minutes from Prague). The group will walk from there along the Vltava river to a hometown of one of the famoust Czech composers – Antonín Dvořák.

The educative foot trail takes name after the world known composer. Once we reach his hometown (Nelahozeves), it is either possible to visit a native home of Antonín Dvořák or the Renaissance Chateau Nelahozeves or just walk around and take a rest in Chateau's garden.

Afterwards the group will transfer to our RaftCamp in Veltrusy, where the active part of the program will take place.
The sports program takes about 3 hours, the group is divided into teams - the first group starts changing and preparing for rafting while the other one starts with archery briefing. After completing the program, they swap the activities.
Both programs are terminated by a small competition.

RAFTING

Rafting is a modern sport requiring team spirit and co-operation thus it is an ideal activity for school and other groups. We raft on about 500-meter long man-made canal with many rapids, big waves and eddies. The program is suited for beginners but can be adjusted to more experienced participants if required. Each participant is given a safety briefing and professional guidance before being launched down the river. Participants' enjoyment and safety are our main concern.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

  1. We use modern, inflatable, self-bailing paddle boats together with full safety and emergency gear.
  2. Every person receives a complete set of specialized whitewater equipment such as: helmet, life jacket, Long John neoprene suit, neoprene boots, dry top, and paddle.
  3. In the winter time we provide special dry suits.

GUIDES

  • Our rafting guides and trip leaders are English-speaking and all of them meet the standards recommended by the International Rafting Federation (IRF) or Czech Rafting Association.
  • They are skilled and equipped to provide emergency first aid.
  • The staff individually assists every client, both during and after all sporting events.

ARCHERY

Archery is getting more and more popular both among children and adults. The archery course is run under supervision of an experienced instructor.

  • During the unusual course you will learn more than the basics of this noble and classical sport.
  • The program is suited for beginners but can be adjusted to more experienced as well.
  • You can choose from two kinds of bows based on the hardness of bowstrings. The shooting distance is 15 metres.

Dvořák's trail

The educative nature trail is called after the famous composer Antonín Dvořák, who spent his childhood in Nelahozeves. The educative foot trail is mostly focused on geology, paleontology, ecology, history, and enviromental protection. The trail runs along the river and is surrounded by sand stone rocks with its massive towers. You can not only hear but also see several species of water birds during the walk.
